Put the mounting arrangement, reference dimensions, hole locations, fastener responsibility and sample configuration into controlled documents. Then check that the approved rack, bracket set, BOM and installation information describe the same revision. This is a buyer-to-OEM handoff guide, not an end-user anchor or wall-safety recommendation.

Use the wall mounted dish rack specification as the controlled handoff between the buyer, OEM and any party responsible for installation documents; it should state both the agreed interface and the approvals that remain outside product scope.

Why should an importer define the mounting interface early?

The mounting interface affects the product drawing, sample, accessory list, pack-out and installation information. If the RFQ says only “wall-mounted dish rack,” two suppliers may quote different bracket arrangements, assume different fasteners or measure dimensions from different datums. The samples can look similar from the front and still differ where the buyer needs to fix, assemble or document them.

Commercial product documentation illustrates why scope should be explicit. New Age Industrial’s commercial wall-mount dish-rack holder lists overall dimensions and runner spacing, and says mounting hardware is not included. Its dimensioned sheet is for a commercial aluminum holder designed around commercial dish racks; it is an example of one product’s scope, not a domestic dish-rack design standard or a specification for Koitor. A buyer can use it to see how product dimensions and hardware exclusions may be stated, while defining a separate requirement for the actual project. See the manufacturer’s product page and its dimensioned specification sheet.

Before requesting a quote, distinguish the product architecture: a rack may attach directly through rear plates, use separate brackets, hang on a rail, or be designed as part of a cabinet system. These are not interchangeable. Do not let a supplier choose a mounting system from a product photograph or from the phrase “wall mount.” The buyer or product owner should identify the intended concept and state which details remain open for engineering review.

The goal is not to prescribe building installation. It is to define the product interface that the OEM can quote and reproduce, then keep site-specific fastener selection and installation approval with the party responsible for the wall and intended installation conditions.

What information belongs in the RFQ drawing?

Use one controlled drawing or linked document to identify how the interface is measured. A useful drawing does more than show an overall width and height: it names the reference plane, mounting orientation and hole-center dimensions that define the product configuration.

For the product-side drawing, consider specifying:

The mounting architecture: integral rear plate, separate bracket, rail interface or another buyer-selected arrangement.

The datum or reference plane from which the bracket position and fixing pattern are measured.

Hole centers and their relationship to the product edges or another named datum.

Bracket or plate envelope, orientation and contact surfaces.

The assembled projection from the mounting plane and any named clearance that matters to the product design.

The relationship between the mounting components and the rack frame, including the intended assembly sequence if parts ship separately.

Any interface surface that must remain accessible, clear of coating, or aligned with a mating part.

Drawing revision, unit system, views and the parts included in the referenced configuration.

Only specify tolerances for features that matter to fit, function or interchangeability, and agree how they will be measured. A mounting hole dimension without a datum can be ambiguous; a nominal dimension without an acceptance rule may also leave suppliers interpreting variation differently. The required values and tolerances must come from the buyer’s product requirements and engineering review. This article does not supply universal hole spacing or a tolerance for every rack.

If the buyer is adapting an existing product, mark which features must remain fixed and which may change. A bracket’s position can affect packaging, access, neighboring cabinetry or the space needed to load dishes. Keep those downstream consequences attached to the revision so that a drawing change does not leave an old sample, pack-out or instruction sheet in circulation.

Who owns the fasteners and installation assumptions?

Assign the responsibility for each fastener and accessory explicitly. A quote should identify whether screws, wall plugs, spacers, covers or other mounting parts are included, supplied by the buyer, selected by an installer or outside the product supplier’s scope. “Hardware included” is too vague unless the component list and intended use are clear.

The product-side supplier can describe the rack interface and any specified mating components in its scope. The buyer, installer or other designated party must define the intended wall conditions and select or approve site-specific anchorage where required. Do not infer that a product bracket is appropriate for every wall material or that a sample fit on a fixture proves the suitability of an installation on tile, masonry, drywall, wood or another substrate.

RFQ item

Buyer should state

Supplier response or evidence

Mounting architecture

Chosen interface or concept to quote

Drawing view or sample configuration used

Hole pattern

Datum, centers, orientation and any controlled tolerance

Measured interface dimensions tied to the drawing revision

Fastener scope

Included, buyer-supplied, installer-selected or excluded items

BOM with part identity and responsibility

Product clearance

Named surrounding features and required clearance

Sample review using the stated product envelope

Installation document

Owner, language, revision and intended scope

Proof aligned to the approved product and hardware list

Open site conditions

What is outside product approval

Written boundary; no unsupported substrate or load claim

For a private-label program, also state who owns the fastener specification, packaging artwork and translated instructions. These responsibilities can sit with different organizations. The key is that the approved product configuration and the documents shipped with it should not contradict each other.

How should a buyer review the mounting sample?

Approve a sample that represents the intended production configuration, not just the visible rack body. Confirm whether the sample includes the production-intent brackets, plates and fasteners or whether any are mock-ups. Record every exception so that a temporary sample arrangement is not mistaken for the final BOM.

A focused sample review can check:

The physical sample matches the controlled drawing and revision.

The bracket, plate or rail is oriented as shown and mates to the intended rack features.

Hole centers and key product dimensions are measured from the named datums.

The assembled product sits in the intended orientation on the agreed review fixture.

The dish-placement area and any named cabinet, faucet or adjacent-product clearance are represented in the stated configuration.

The finish and contact boundaries are reviewed where the mounting components meet the rack.

Each loose component is identified and reconciled to the BOM.

The sample result, open issues and approval status are documented.

These checks establish only what was actually measured or observed. A product-side sample review does not prove a wall substrate, anchor choice, installation method, structural capacity or long-term performance. If the buyer needs a load or installation-safety claim, define the intended configuration, test method, responsible qualified party and acceptance criteria separately before making the claim.

Keep any installation fixture used in sample review identified as a review fixture. Do not allow a tabletop mock-up, generic wall panel or supplier demonstration to become evidence for an untested building installation. The product sample and the site-anchorage decision are separate approvals.

Which dimensions and clearances should be confirmed?

Confirm dimensions based on the product’s use and interface, not because another supplier’s drawing contains a convenient number. For one project, the decisive dimension may be a hole-center distance; for another, it may be the assembled projection or the clearance between the rack and a nearby cabinet. State which dimension controls the buyer decision.

A simple dimension schedule can include:

Overall product envelope in the approved orientation.

Mounting-plane reference and projection from that plane.

Hole centers, slot extent or bracket engagement features.

Position of the interface relative to a named product datum.

Clearance to specified adjacent surfaces or components.

Fit allowance for any removable bracket or mating part.

Measurement method and acceptance limits where a feature is controlled.

When the wall mounted dish rack specification is used to compare suppliers, make sure each quotation answers against the same drawing revision, interface concept and fastener scope.

Do not copy a dimension from a commercial rack holder into a different household dish-rack design. The New Age example is designed for its named commercial rack sizes and its own holder architecture. The buyer’s drawing must describe the intended product and not imply compatibility with a different product family.

Where the final environment is not known during product development, clearly separate product dimensions from site assumptions. For example, the supplier may confirm the bracket location on the rack, while the buyer’s installer determines whether the selected fixing method and wall condition are suitable for the actual location. That boundary prevents a product drawing from being interpreted as an installation approval.

How do sample approval, packaging and instructions stay aligned?

Treat the drawing, BOM, sample, pack-out and instruction file as one revision-controlled set. If the mounting bracket moves or the fixing pattern changes, review whether the carton needs a different protective layout, whether any hardware bag changes, and whether the installation diagram still matches the shipped parts.

The package review should identify:

Which mounting parts are packed with the rack and how each is identified.

Whether a separate fastener bag is included, excluded or buyer-provided.

How brackets are protected from scratching the finished rack or puncturing the carton.

The product revision and fastener-list revision shown in the approval record.

The party that approves instruction diagrams, translations and warnings.

How a change in the mounting interface triggers a review of the sample and documents.

Instructions should describe only the approved configuration and the responsibility assigned to the product owner. If the final fastener or wall condition is outside the supplier’s scope, do not let an artwork proof imply that a generic anchor works in all situations. Have the responsible buyer or installer provide the relevant installation-specific content.

A production-intent sample can help reveal whether brackets, loose parts and protective packaging fit together as planned. It cannot validate an untested shipping condition or establish that every package will arrive undamaged. Any transport or drop-test claim requires an agreed test configuration and actual supporting evidence.

What should change control capture before a reorder?

A reorder should use the same interface only when the buyer confirms that the controlled product definition remains current. Before releasing repeat production, compare the latest drawing, BOM, approved sample reference and customer-facing instruction revision. A new bracket supplier or a change in plate geometry can matter even when the rack’s front appearance is unchanged.

Trigger a review when any of these inputs change:

Hole pattern, datum, plate size, bracket angle or interface feature.

Fastener or accessory part, source, finish or packaging responsibility.

Product dimensions or clearance assumptions.

Rack finish or an interface surface that could affect fit.

Carton configuration or the way mounting components are packed.

Installation diagram, language, warning or stated installation scope.

Buyer, retailer or installer requirements that alter the configuration.

Record whether the change requires a new sample, drawing approval, packaging proof or installation-document review. Avoid making a change-control form a substitute for engineering judgment: it should route the right decision to the person responsible and preserve the evidence for the approved revision.

For a custom kitchen-storage project, Koitor’s custom kitchen-storage rack manufacturing page is the relevant commercial starting point for discussing the metal product and development scope. It does not establish a specific wall-mounted model, anchor system or installation certification. Buyers can اتصل بـ «كويتور» with the controlled drawing or a physical sample and the decision-specific requirements.

الأسئلة الشائعة

Does a wall-mounted dish rack have a standard hole spacing?

Do not assume one universal fixing pattern. Use the selected product design and controlled drawing to define datums, hole centers and any required tolerance. Supplier examples may use different mounting architectures and intended dish-rack configurations.

Should the dish-rack supplier choose the wall anchors?

Assign the role in the RFQ. The rack supplier can state which product-side hardware is included, but a buyer or qualified installer may need to specify or approve anchors for the actual substrate and installation. This article does not recommend a universal anchor.

Does a sample mounted on a test panel prove the product is safe on every wall?

No. A sample review proves only the dimensions and checks performed in the stated fixture and configuration. It does not establish suitability for every wall, anchor or installation condition.

What should be approved before bulk production?

Approve the product drawing and revision, interface configuration, BOM and fastener responsibility, production-intent sample, pack-out and matching installation-document revision. Close any site-specific or performance requirement through its designated approval path.

What if the mounting design changes after the sample is approved?

Reopen the affected decisions.
